Club championship continued over weekend with some down to wire matches for next week’s final rounds.
Once again we would like to thank all participants to make this event what it is, all matches over the course of Saturday morning were played in good spirits and with full club passion.
There were some great matches in all divisions, but one stood out for above the rest and that was the battle between our veteran division 1 pennant players in Andrew Woods and Paul Chrystall. The match looked over on 17th with Andrew 2up with two to go standing on the 17th tee, but 17th was won by Paul and we went down to the 18th with the match 1up to Andrew. 2 amazing 3rd shots into 18th got the crowd cheering but Woods missed his birdie putt and Paul holed his which meant extra holes were in play. The extra hole was won by Paul with par. It just goes to show anything could happen in matchplay. It was also great to see many members out there supporting each other.
