Round 2 saw our Senior Individual Pennant Team at home to WA Golf Club.
As we only get one game at home it was imperative that we had a win particularly after our first round loss to Cottesloe at Joondalup. It was a great team performance winning 4 matches to 1.
Lino Scartozzi at number 5 delivered his usual consistency and gave his opponent a whipping 5/4. Neil Rigby got home 1 up with a great bunker shot on the last hole (9th). Walter “Salami” Panichi delivered a strong win 5/4 with his brilliant short game driving his opponent crazy. I managed to play a captains knock with a 5/4 win and finally Paul Chrystal lost on the last (9th) when his opponent made a great birdie from 10 feet with Paul already in the hole for a par!
In 2 weeks we play Melville Glades at their home track, it will be tough, but I am sure we can pull it off and keep us in the hunt for a flag!
