Cian McGarvey – Played well. A seesaw match most of the day. Lost 1 down
Adam Elwell – Played a guy that was 2 under the card after 12 holes– Lost 8 /7
Don Mclean – The battle of the old guys. Playing Paul Chappell . Lost 4/3
Paul Chrystal – Mr 7 took charge of his match all day. Winning 5 /4
Regardless of the loss the team has done enough to make the finals to play top team Rockingham and to hopefully get back into Division 1 next year.

Men’s Division 4 Results
It was the battle for the wooden spoon at Bunbury against Rockingham.
Nathan had a 3 and 2 loss and Adrian had a 5 and 4 loss so we lost the opening two matches.
Josh fought hard but eventually lost 2 up.
It was Captain vs Captain for my match against a South African opponent and just like the All Blacks the night before I got the job done 2 and 1 win.
George was determined to get a win and got over the line with a nice 4 and 2 win.
Mason was again steady and got the hand shake on the 17th green winning 2 and 1.
So it was 3 wins and 3 losses again with Chris still out on the course and was doing well 3 up with 4 to play but his opponent pulled it to level by the 18th tee and proceeded to play his 2nd shot to 3 inches from the hole and get the win. Was another close loss
Last round at Rockingham so we will give at all on Sunday.

Men’s Division 5 Results
On Sunday the Div 5 team travelled to Meadow Springs to play the second-placed Royal Perth.
Duds – 3/2 W – another easy win for Duds.
Jordan – 3/2 L – a misfiring putter and a broken 3 wood did not help.
Connor – 2/1 W – very impressive win by the young fella. Punctuated by sticking his tee shot to 3 feet on the par 3 16th.
Kai – 3/2 W – in his own words he played less terrible golf than his opponent.
Lee – Square – managed to shake off a distraction or two to win 4 holes in a row on the back nine to bring his match back to square.
Wayne – 3/2 L – relieved of his duties at the top of the order but was unable to get over the line.
John – 2/1 L – with the game in the balance (3.5 to 2.5 at this stage) we thought that our veteran might’ve got us across the line. Unfortunately, a couple of long-range putts brought John undone and we finished the match 3.5 to 3.5.
Freakishly, all of the other matches ended 3.5/3.5 so the really slim hope of playing in the final is still there….

Men’s Division 6 Results
Came up short against an unbeaten Royal Perth 5-2
Our hopes for finals finished on Sunday at Rockingham Golf Club. We were beaten by a strong and unbeaten side in Royal Perth. Really don’t get why some of these teams load their Division 6 teams, they should be wearing masks on some of these bandits.
Anyway, enough of the whinging. Great win for the Terminator John Connor, 3&1. Unfortunately for the rest of the team, we had to listen to him going on about his win. In fairness, his short game was on and that got him home. Matt was unlucky not to come away with a win, a stunning sand save on the 18th earned the Royal Perth bandit a half. I hit a wonderful 4 iron onto the green on the 16th, unfortunately, it ran off the back of the green and I lost the ball to go 3 down. Came up short but got it back to 2&1. Rod played against a guy who was playing off 3 last season, and this guy didn’t miss a putt all day, even with his mask on. Another solid half for Simon, still unbeaten. What a season he is having! Big Cecil and JT battled hard but came up short against solid opponents.
The final game is at Bunbury next week. The local derby against Hartfield. We will give it our all and finish as high as we can in true Gossy spirit. And best of luck to all the other Gossy teams, especially our Division 2 boys. Let’s hope they get the job done and bring us back to Division 1, where we belong.
Matt; Half
John: 3&1 Win
Gerard: 2&1 Loss
Rod: 5&4 Loss
JT: 4&3 Loss
Simon: Half
Cecil: 2&1 Loss
