Course care reminder – Repairing divots on fairways

The photo below were taken by ground staff at 7am today (Thursday 1 Feb).

It shows divots that were not “chopped in” and essentially repaired.

The divots were on the 6th fairway, approximately 105m from the green.

We kindly remind all members to be vigilant and mindful of course care and repair.

Excerpt from January greens newsletter – “A divot repaired correctly by knocking in the sides or replacing the divot if sufficient roots and sand are still attached, may take between 1 – 2 months to recover, whilst an unrepaired divot will take somewhere between 3 – 4 months”.

This is a small example of recurring divots and/or pitch marks unrepaired on our beautiful golf course. Please remind your playing partners as it is a responsibility of everyone to ensure that we take care of our golf course.
