Week One

Qualifying rounds for Club Championships, 18 holes stroke are on Saturday 3 August and Sunday 4 August.  Please note that a reverse draw will be conducted for Sunday - those playing AM Saturday will receive a PM tee time on Sunday and vice versa.

The top 8 gross scores for men and women will proceed to matchplay in week two, along with the top 8 nett scores for Men's Divisions A, B and C and Women's Division B.  If there are sufficient entries, there will be an additional women's nett division.

Any ties for top 8 gross scores will go to a sudden death playoff.  Ties for nett scores will use the countback system.

Week Two

Saturday 10 August

There will be no members competition on this date.

The quarter-final matches for the above divisions will be in the morning, followed by the semi-final matches in the afternoon.

Sunday 11 August

The first round of Junior Club Championships commences in the morning, followed by the first round of Senior Club Championships in the afternoon (both on two tee starts).  Both of these events will be 18 holes stroke over two days.  The Junior Club Championships will have a stableford section for higher handicapped and less experienced players.

Members will need to be 55 years of age to enter the Senior Club Championships, with a super senior category (gross) for men and women aged 70 years.

Week Three

Saturday 17 August

The 36 hole finals for the Men's and Women's Championship (gross) matches will commence in the morning, with a limited field members competition.  Whilst we have designed the schedule to limit the possibility of the matchplay catching the members competition - should this occur the matchplay games will have right of way.

In the afternoon, the 18 hole finals for all the nett divisions will commence along with the 2nd 18 for each of the Championship Matches.

There will be a limited field members competition in the afternoon - again the matchplay has the right of way.

Presentations for our Club Champions will occur at the end of all competition play.

Please note that the timesheet for both AM and PM members' competition on Saturday 17 August will not open until 6 pm Sunday 11 August.  Full members will have first access to the timesheet.  All other members with Saturday rights will have access to the timesheet on Monday 18 August at 6 pm. (Please note that this is different from the normal booking window days)

Whilst we are running a members competition on this day - We do ask members to consider supporting their fellow members as they compete in the Club Championship Matchplay finals.

Please note that there are no OOM points on Saturday 17 August.

Sunday 18 August

The final round of the Senior Club Championships will be in the morning on 2 tee starts, with presentations to follow after the round.  A reverse draw will be conducted for the second round.

The final round of the Junior Club Championships will be in the afternoon on 2 tee starts with presentations to follow after play.

Call for nomination

Nomination Call for Hall of Fame Members 2024

The hall of fame concept was first established in 2023 to acknowledge and recognise Gosnells Golf Club members who have contributed in the areas of either club services (including volunteering) and golf or club achievements.

The Hall of Fame Committee was created to identify and conclude nominations for the first-year hall of fame nominees in 2023.

It was established that the maximum nominations per year would be 3 and if required, 1 additional posthumous.

However, from 2024, the call for nominations for hall of fame members is now an invitation from the GGC membership to nominate members that have contributed in areas of either club services, golf or club achievements. The Hall of Fame committee will consider and vote on all nominations received. Additional considerations of nominations may also come within the committee. The committee consists of 5 selected members from our life members, hall of fame members, past board members and the current president.

The general manager chairs the committee with no voting rights.

Please submit all your nominations with a CV of the nominated member to the general manager by 23 July 2024. (Email is preferred).

The 2024 Hall of Fame members will be celebrated on our Club Gala Night (together with all our major winners) on Friday, 22 November 2024.  (Please note new date change for Gala Night)

Quick updates

If you have yet to watch our course care video - here is a kind reminder to watch this 53 seconds video. Course care is the responsibility of all of us so please take care of our course.

If you are looking for a great steal in the pro shop - we have a few shirts and jumpers left, selling as low as $40 for polos and $60 for jumpers.

Please call the pro shop for any golf balls hit out of our boundaries. You will not be in any trouble, it is better to report and record than to not at all. It helps us if there are any insurance claims for damages to properties.

Watch this space! We have a new club sponsor coming soon! Refer them for any property sales listing and you will receive $500 cash and $500 in your club's top-up account. Win-win.

Mason fundraising

Fundraising for Mason Burr

We will be hosting a fundraiser for our own GGC junior member, Mason Burr for the 2024 School Sports Australia Golf Championships to be held in Canberra, this August.

Take this opportunity to have a professional photo taken (for LinkedIn or similar) or to update your old "professional" photos.

You can also opt to have a professional action golf shot photo taken for your Insta or Facebook profile.

All photos will be taken by Dee Burr, Mason's mum.

All donations welcome.

Please help us fundraise for Mason in his golfing pursuits.

Two hole in ones for Mat Schmelzkopf

It is a feat in itself to have a hole in one in any course but two in a space of 9 months? That's the claim to fame for Mat Schmelzkopf, with his second hole in one on 7th hole on Saturday 6 July. A worthy note of mention as well - Selva Kumar also had a hole in one just the week prior on the 4th hole.

Golf ball

Identification required

The owner of this golf ball is not in any trouble but we are trying to locate the owner of this golf ball.

This golf ball was found on the outside boundary of our golf course and we are trying to ascertain how it could have happened.

We repeat, the owner is not in any trouble.

We are investigating how an incident could have occurred from one of our boundaries.

Please contact Fiza directly.
