Saturday Order of Merit
We now have 4 rounds remaining of the Saturday RSM Australia Order of Merit with the final counting round on 16 November. It has been great to see members' interest in the Order of Merit as the season has developed and we once again thank member Greg Dudley through RSM Australia for this generous sponsorship.
As decided by the Match Committee and agreed with our sponsor at the start of the season, there will be an extra order of merit points available for the last 3 rounds.
Instead of the usual 90 points for the winner, 87 points for 2nd, 84 for 3rd and so on down to 30th position, for the last three rounds (2-16 November), 120 points will be awarded to the competition winner with points reducing in increments of 4 down to 30th place. So if you are a little behind the leaders or one of your mates, there's still a chance to catch them.
Junior Gala Day
A big thank you to everyone who contributed to a very successful Junior Gala Day on Friday 11 October. We had a full field of 24 teams (Ambrose 4's) and it is great to see members supporting our junior program by coming back year after year to submit a team (or multiple teams in some cases). One of the highlights for me was a new activity, a pitching competition at the end of the day in front of a noisy and lubricated crowd - such a great way to finish off a successful day.
Well done to Darren Roberts and the Junior Committee, our parent volunteers along with Fiza, Moka, Carlee, Lincoln, Gus and all our wonderful staff for once again delivering a great event and showing how much team spirit we have at Gosnells.
Upcoming Events
Founders Cup is a Honour Board event to be played on Sunday 3 November, 7:30am Shotgun start. The timesheet opens Friday 25 October at 4pm and the cost is $40pp.
Closing Day sponsored by the Olde Boys is Saturday 23 November.
Our inaugural 54 hole World Golf Ranking event, IJG Gosnells Junior Invitational will be played 16 - 18 December.
The 2025 Summer Cup will be played on 18 and 19 January 2025. It is envisaged that entries will be available by 30 November with entries initially restricted to members and their guests prior to opening up to members of other clubs.
Match Committee
Whilst I am very happy with the contribution of Match Committee members since taking over as Captain, I have asked Match Committee members to reconfirm their interest in remaining on the committee for my new term of 2 years as Captain. If you are interested in being considered for Match Committee, please contact me by Thursday 31 October via Captain@gosnellsgc.com.au with a brief email as to why you are interested in being on the committee.

Local Rules
Please note that a copy of the current local rules can be viewed through our club website and through the MiScore app.
Members should be aware that there are currently no preferred lies although there is free relief from aeration holes caused by the recent course renovations - please see Temporary Local Rules for clarification. This free relief will likely be removed shortly.
Rolling of Greens on Saturdays
We have been in a "stop / start" phase on this as the casual employee we had hired resigned shortly after commencing. We have hired a new casual and greens rolling on a Saturday will now re-commence from last weekend.
